Skills Development - Rising Zombie

To create the effect of the main character in my music video rising up from bed, I had to reverse and slow down a clip of him falling in Adobe Premiere Pro.

To reverse the footage, I had to right click the clip, and click on "Speed/Duration", as can be seen in the below screenshot:

This then opened up the "Speed/Duration" window and I had to select the "Reverse Speed" box, seen here:

The final step was slowing the clip down. I did this by changing the "Speed" percentage in the same window pictured above to "50%".

Location Recce - Harford Park, Norwich

To find an appropriate looking park to recce, I searched for 'Norwich Parks' in Google Maps and looked at the parks closest to City College Norwich. As can be seen from the below map, Harford Park is in the optimum geographical location for to the shooting of my video as it is only a 19 minute walk from the location that I shoot at before, which means I will be able to shoot the adjacent scenes with not much of a gap of time between, which is good because it means I can maintain continuity.

Pictures of the location
I did a recce to the park on 07/11/16 and took a few pictures of places I will need to use in my video.

As clear from this first image, the park is very wide and open, which is what I'm looking for for the final scene and performance cutaways in my video to create a contrast with the enclosed spaces in the rest of the video.

This hill will be very useful in the shooting of my video for low angle shots to show the audience that the character finally has control over his own life.

This area will work well for the part of my video where the character enters the park, as the fence represents a small connection to the urban environment that he is escaping from.

Overall, I think that Harford Park will be a perfect location to shoot my park scenes at.
